Berbatov

Stretford-End would like to wish a very happy birthday to Dimitar Berbatov! The Bulgarian striker celebrates his 30th birthday today. Although he has often divided opinion among United fans in the past, Berbatov currently leads the Premier League in goals.

Southampton vs. Manchester United Match Preview

United vs. Southampton
Manchester United will travel to Southampton on Saturday to continue their FA Cup campaign. United have officially made it one round further in the FA Cup than they did last season. Everyone will of course remember last season’s heartbreaking exit in the third round against Leeds United. However, a win over Liverpool at Old Trafford means United is now onto the fourth round.

Blackpool vs. Manchester United Match Preview

United vs. West Hame
One would think Manchester United is capable of taking all three points from the newly-promoted Blackpool, yet that away curse still looms large ahead of United’s journey to Bloomfield Road. Most were shocked when Blackpool earned promotion in the Championship play-off last season, and now they’re exceeding expectations in the Premier League. The Seasiders are currently 11th in the table, six points out of the relegation zone.

Rafa
It was my last days of winter break from university, so please forgive me for my Stretty Stories absence over the weekend. Rafael has been charge with improper conduct, Patrice Evra claims unbeaten isn’t the goal, Dimitar Berbatov targets the Golden Boot, and Danny Welbeck is set to undergo an operation.

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester United Match Preview

Posted on January 14, 2011  by KDill_MUFC  in KDill_MUFC, Man United, Match Previews, Premier League, Spurs   1 Comment »

Tottenham
Another dreaded away fixture. Granted, the away curse has subsided slightly with the New Years Day win at West Brom, but Tottenham Hotspur is an entirely different nemesis. It has been a crazy season which has seen Tottenham surpass defending Champions Chelsea in the Premier League for a place in the top four. There is positive news ahead of the journey to North London though. Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic, Paul Scholes, and Edwin van der Sar are all in contention for Sunday’s fixture against Spurs after spells on the sideline.

Rooney
In today’s Manchester United news, Rooney and Vidic are expected to play against Tottenham, two youngsters have gone out on loan, Ryan Giggs has ruled out a return for Wales, and we have an interesting look at fan ownership.

Kuszczak
I have returned from a weekend getaway, which means Stretty Stories is back for another week. While Manchester United was busy getting a fantastic result against Liverpool over the weekend, there was still plenty of news surrounding Old Trafford. Today’s Stretty Stories will include today’s news plus some of the top stories from the weekend.

FA Cup
Hope you’re all doing well after yesterday’s fantastic results. One of our stories is, of course, that United were the big winners on a night when they didn’t even kick a ball. Also in the news, Sir Alex Ferguson wants to win the FA Cup, Old Trafford may be Roy Hodgson’s last stand, and Javier Hernandez is enjoying life at Old Trafford.
