Reports in Turkey are suggesting that Man United’s 20 year old winger come forward, Tiago Bebe, has left the club on loan for a year with the option of a permanent deal according to Serdal Adali, the Chief of Besiktas.
United are yet to confirm the deal but media outlets in Turkey have confirmed that the Turkish side, Besiktas, have taken Tiago Bebe on loan for a year with a view to a permanent deal with an option to buy the player set at £2m (as confirmed by Mark Ogden). Serdal Adali has announced the deal which has been brokered with the help of Jorge Mendes. The club later announced to the Turkish stock market that the deal had gone through, despite no formal announcement yet from either club. Bebe joined last summer in a much publicised move from Vitória de Guimarães in Portugal for a fee of £7.4m – of which €3.5 million went to Jorge Mendes’ agency company, GestiFute.
Bebe featured in 7 first team games for United, mainly on the wing and scored 2 goals, one in the Champions League and one in the League Cup. He spent most of the year learning the game in the Reserves, playing either up front or wide in a front three. He scored one of the goals of the season across the United teams in a Reserve game against Wigan – a dipping first time volley (see the video below – the second of the two goals he scored).
My own opinion on Bebe is that he needs more footballing education – basic stuff like positioning, control, vision and learning how to jump/challenge in the air. I’d have kept him another year in our Reserves so he could continue to learn because he has shown improvements and has shown he takes information on board. If he gets regular games at Besiktas though then the move will be worthwhile. He won’t be lonely though in Turkey, there are already 4 other Portuguese players there – Quaresma, Simao, Almeida and Fernandes.

I am Besiktas&ManU fan who lives in UK and i heard Besiktas loaned Bebe, bad news about Bebe is a foreigner player restriction. Only 6 foreigners can play ( Guti,Q7,H.Almeida,Simao,Manuel Fernandes,Sivok ) 2 players can be at the bench ( Ernst, Ferrari) Probably Bebe and Sidnei will watch Besiktas matches in the stadium but not on the pitch.
im a unfortunately for u man utd fans a arsenal n besiktas fan and i live in london, and ill b honest many people think bebe is not all that, and that man utd paid over the odds for him, but what i think is that bebe is young and his unproven this could b a perfect chance for him 2 get regular football, plus turkish league is very hard and physical as well, many teams have improved n challenging the top teams for european places, i thin if bebe can play regularly for us, im sure he will do well, then when he comes back 2 man utd challenge for a regular spot. hopefully he wont score against arsenal tho 🙂
also @briturk ferrari is leaving us and so is fink, hilbert and tabata , bobo is already gone so that is going to reduce the foreigners limit, each team can have a maximum of 10 registered, only 6 can play and 2 on the bench, plus guti is 35 almost im sure our manager will play bebe and rotate with the foreign players.
please confirm if manu is interested in Guatemalan player Marco Pablo Pappa (actually playing in the MLS with the Chicago Fire) .

is any moves exist from us for arturo vidal from leverkusen? we need defensive midfielder (although he’s versatile) and he’s much better option than rodwell i think + cheaper as well (maybe).
@volks mate, but Besiktas absolutely will transfer a famous striker like Forlan so it will be very hard for Bebe to play for Besiktas, i think they loaned him for emergency situations like injuries and bans like Sidnei. We have 5-6 central defenders like Sivok,E.Gulum,I.Toraman and Egemen so it will be very hard to be on the pitch for Sidnei as well

Kleberson didnt play well at ManU and Besiktas but know he is still playing for Brazil national team. Fuckin Hell….football is weird, Ferguson would you walk five hundggggggred miles for Kleberson or Bebe?
