Louis van Gaal has revealed he will be in charge of United come August
Louis van Gaal has had a turbulent season, however – in a recent interview has stated that Manchester United fans will see him in the dugout come August, whether or not the club qualify for the Champions League. The Dutchman, who will take charge of United one shy of a century against Leicester City today, has told the national press that he intends to see out the three year deal that he signed in the summer of 2014 and sensationally revealed that he had only intentionally wanted to sign a two year contract.
United are in the FA Cup final, a tournament the club has not won since 2004, but many fans have become disgruntled by the pedestrian pace that the club now go about their business on the field. There are suggestions that Jose Mourinho has signed pre-contract agreement with United – with the Portuguese manager keen to get back into football following his sacking last year.
Louis van Gaal was quoted as saying:
Next year you will see me again.
I knew it would be like this. That’s why they hired me and we spoke about it.
We always knew that the process would take three years. I wanted to sign only for two years. The club wanted me to sign for three years, not me. I signed for three years – so next year you will see me again.
Every week for six months I have been ‘sacked’ – and yet I am still here. But this has happened to me at every club I have been at.
The United manager also alluded to the ‘progress’ this season by featuring in the Champions League, progressing further in the League Cup and that United are in the FA Cup Final:
I am a realistic man and so I only speak about facts.
I can’t say again ‘if, if’. The facts count and the fact is we are in the FA Cup final, the fact is we were in the Champions League, that we didn’t do last year.
The fact is we went further in the Capital One Cup and so on.
Fuck u van gooooooonnnnneeee
The team needs a change… I think Jose would be a good manager for the team.
