Gary Pallister played for Manchester United against Chelsea in the FA Cup
Gary Pallster won three FA Cups with United, 1990, 1994 and 1996, after becoming England’s most expensive defender after signing for £2.3 million in 1989. Pallister was a superb centre half; quick, intelligent and a towering frame to win headers. Many feel he should have won more caps for his country. He played in the January 1998 FA Cup match between United and Chelsea. United got off to a flying start and went 5-0 up, before Chelsea scored three in a wet goals galore game.
