I like stats and youth football. I dislike sensationalist journalism, factually incorrect statements and United fans who can’t spell Cleverley or Welbeck.

Name: Doron
Favourite United player: Eric Cantona
What advice would you give Fergie: Never retire!
Favourite United Goal: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s late strike against Liverpool in 1998/99 FA Cup
Where will United finish this season: 1st
94, 99 or 08?: 1999 – final answer!
Premier League player you admire the most: Stuart Holden – Surprised me with his quality and I got a lot of respect for how he handled the Jonny Evans tackle and the positive attitude to his recovery

    Hi Doron,

I am contacting you regarding an article that you’ve collaboratively written with Tony and which have seen by accessing the link below:

    http://www.stretford-end.com/2011/03/youth-football-past-and-present-liverpool-vs-man-united-u18s/

I love the black and white photo of the FA Youth Cup winners in 1992 and the colour photo of the Manchester United U18 in 1992.

I would highly appreciate if you could, please, please, please, advise me, if possible as to where from to buy these two photos in a bigger format (i.e.: A5 size).

I very much look for to hearing from you, Doron.

    Kind regards,
    Bianca

  2. Hi Bianca

As far as I remember, they are all available on Getty Images. Here’s the link to the black and white 1992 picture – http://www.gettyimages.co.uk/detail/108908290/Popperfoto

They were kindly sent to me for the blog by Tricia – on Twitter – http://twitter.com/#!/triciarkg – if there are any specific images that aren’t on Getty then she’s the person to ask, I’ll let her know I’ve mentioned her here and maybe she can provide some more information.

    Thanks, Doron

Hi Bianca. Yes, as Doron said, the black and white photograph comes from Getty Images. I believe they sell prints to the public. I’m afraid I don’t have it in a larger size. The colour photograph is from my collection, obtained many years ago, and I am afraid I don’t recall where I got it. I don’t have it in a larger size. If you are looking for sports photos in the UK, I would recommend Topfoto, Action Images, Colorsport, and Alpha Press as likely sources for photos of that vintage.

Hey there, I was wondering If there was anyway I could contribute to this site? I’m just a college kid, but I’ve been writing for a while now, and was hoping I could do the occasional piece for one of the numerous United blogs. Here is one of my articles –

if you do think I can help in some small way, please let me know! thanks :)
