Calling all potential writers….that love United!

With the new season just around the corner, we’re currently working on the latest evolution of www.stretford-end.com and we’re actively recruiting new writers to join the team. Love United? Read on…

The website is nearly ten years old, having been launched in the November of 2006. In that time we’ve seen United reach three European Cup finals, win title after title, the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson and the emergence of the likes of Marcus Rashford (who was 9 when the blog launched!). We’re currently undergoing a redesign of the website – which will be fully live for the community shield against Leicester City. The previous design was a little stale and had been around since 2011. This latest design is mobile friendly – and renders across any device. We’ve decided to remove the statistics and results as this was becoming very difficult to maintain – so now are focusing on news, legend profiles and the popular chants sections.

Over the past ten years – we’ve always tried to maintained a certain type of style, which focuses on the club rather than the individual who puts an argument, piece of news or opinion across. The platform is there for likeminded fans who want to discuss that Eric Cantona volley against Wimbledon or when Bill Foulkes silenced the Bernabeu in 1968 or whether Paul Pogba is worth the £120million he is currently being valued at.

If you’re looking to get into journalism, this could be a great starter platform for you to gain experience and discuss United on a daily basis. If a good match, you will be able to post your articles, learn about social media amplification and other marketing activities – whilst, hopefully, having fun. We’re looking for four new writers to cover transfers, match reports, Jose’s comments…so anything related to United!

If interested – please feel free to drop us a line on – strettyrant@googlemail.com.
