Could Sancho Reignite His Career at Manchester United?
Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United remains uncertain, but former United defender Mikael Silvestre believes the winger still has the potential to revive his career at Old Trafford. Sancho has been sidelined from all first-team activities since a public falling-out with manager Erik ten Hag, following the team’s match against Arsenal in August. At the time, Ten Hag revealed that Sancho had been dropped due to what he described as “subpar training performances” in the lead-up to that fixture. Since then, the English international has not made any appearances for the Red Devils, and many have speculated that he may have already played his final match for the club. However, Silvestre argues that Sancho’s future with Manchester United is not yet set in stone.
In a conversation with bettingexpert, Silvestre expressed that the 23-year-old still has a chance to earn his place back in the squad if he impresses during pre-season next summer. He said he believes Sancho still has a long-term future at United and that things in football can change rapidly, even within one great game. Silvestre believes that the Englishman could have another shot if he returns for pre-season and performs well under the manager. He claims Sancho’s future at United isn’t 100 per cent over, but it is up to the player. For now, Sancho’s focus remains on performing at Borussia Dortmund, where he is currently on loan. His performances in the Bundesliga could be crucial to whether he is given another opportunity to shine at United in the future.
Casemiro Linked With Move to Al Nassr
Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has reportedly emerged as a target for Al Nassr, the Saudi Pro League club where his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo currently plays. As reported by Foot Mercato, Al Nassr are eager to reunite Casemiro and Ronaldo, who shared successful spells at both Real Madrid and later at Manchester United. The Brazilian midfielder, who is a key figure at Old Trafford, is said to be considering the possibility of a move to the Middle East, with the report suggesting that Casemiro is “interested in this new challenge.”
However, there are significant hurdles that Al Nassr must overcome before they can secure the signing of Casemiro. One major issue is that the Saudi club already have a full quota of foreign players, meaning they would need to offload one of their current non-domestic stars to make room for the United midfielder. While there has been no formal movement on a deal yet, Casemiro’s future at Manchester United is uncertain. The links to Al Nassr have surfaced multiple times throughout the season, fuelling speculation that a transfer to Saudi Arabia could materialise in the near future.
Interestingly, Foot Mercato also hints that the Saudi Pro League may consider revising their foreign player regulations, especially if they are keen on continuing to invest heavily in attracting top international talent. If this happens, it could pave the way for more marquee signings like Casemiro in the future. For now, Casemiro remains an integral part of Erik ten Hag’s squad, but as speculation mounts, it’s clear that his future could take a surprising turn depending on how events unfold both in Manchester and Saudi Arabia.
