Ashley Young will miss the rest of the season after picking up an ankle injury
Manchester United winger Ashley Young will miss the rest of the season after picking up an ankle injury in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City two weeks ago.
Young and Manchester City captain Pablo Zabaleta had an altercation and in old school style, the Argentinian “got one over” the wide man and committed a late foul, which drew a booking. Young has played 23 times for United this season, grabbing four assists but failing to hit the back of the net this term.
Sir Alex Ferguson spoke to MUTV earlier today:
“Ashley is out for the season. We thought it’d be maybe two or three weeks but now he’s been down to the specialist and that’s why you saw him at the game on Wednesday. We took him down to a specialist in London and the prognosis was not very good at all. We’re going to lose him for the rest of the season.”
Ashley Young will miss the visit of Aston Villa, his former club, on Monday evening and we’ve put together some great odds for you ahead of the match:
- Manchester United have a best price with bet365 and Betfred to win the match – both at 1.25.
- Coral have Robin van Perise at 4.5 to open the scoring against Villa and Coral also have the Dutchman at 1.91 to score anytime.
- If you’re looking for an alternative to score first, why not back Shinji Kagawa who is priced at 8 each way with Ladbrooks.
