I am hoping to get back to posting consistently, but school keeps getting in the way. The major story in today’s news has Ole Gunnar Solskjaer linked with a move back to Molde as manager. In other news, Nani has been ruled out for the Manchester derby.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to quit United for Molde – Guardian

Having expressed my joy at Ole’s decision to stay last month, it comes with great sadness that Solskjaer appears to be on his way home to Molde. The Norwegian striker joined Manchester United in 1996 as a virtual unknown, but retired in 2007 as a legend. He will forever be remembered by United fans for his goal in the 1999 Champions League final. Hearing “and Solskjaer has won it” still sends chills down my spine. It was his goal which sealed the Treble. Solskjaer was named the reserve team manager at United following his retirement. Despite turning down an offer from Molde last month, it is now being reported that Solskjaer is on the verge of taking the next step in his coaching career by returning to his former club as manager. It has been suggested that the 37-year-old will fly to Norway on Tuesday with negotiations being reopened.

Nani ruled out of City clash – Sky Sports

Having ben a key player so far this season, it is a huge blow that Nani has been ruled out of Wednesday’s Manchester derby. The Portuguese winger picked up an injury against Bursaspor in the Champions League last week and played no part in United’s 2-1 win against Wolves over the weekend. Nani has been the club’s biggest contributor this campaign with five goals and nine assists, and his absence will be felt against City. On a more positive note, Dimitar Berbatov is expected to make his 100th appearance for the club after recovering from an illness which ruled him out against Wolves.

  1. Marvelous,How come any time we play City we allways have our best players out, either through injury or suspension. It used to be ronny and rooney, this time its rooney and nani.Come derby day, when its time to give ’em a good battering, they are let off the hook cos we have no decent players….Typical
