Manchester United youngster Marcus Rashford came in third place in 2017 Golden Boy Award, the Italian media Tuttosport revealed.
Rashford came behind only Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele, who ended up in top two spots. The Tuttosport, which runs the award, expectedly went with new Paris Saint-Germain player in first place, after a stellar season in Monaco. Mbappe was part of a French league winning team and Champions League semifinalists. Dembele, on the other hand, played magnificently for Borussia Dortmund before making a move to Barcelona.
However, Marcus Rashford coming in third place is a great compliment for both the player and the club’s academy. He is a Manchester-born player and he managed to become a first-team regular in a boyhood club in spite of the modern era of buying expensive players from all over the world.
