Manchester United have finished their season four days ago with the FA Cup final against Manchester City, in which they failed to get to the second trophy in the same season, following the League Cup triumph in late February. Nevertheless, this was a good first season for Erik Ten Hag in England, bringing the club back to Champions League football with the third-place finish in the Premier League. Overall, progress has been made and now the summer transfer window is upon us, for United to find new players which will improve the squad and make the team challenge for greater things next season. But until that happens, this season is not officially over for many players just yet, since the June international break is about to start.

There will be UEFA Nations League finals to be played, there will be EURO 2024 qualifiers, as well as many friendly matches across the globe. And during the next couple of weeks, there will be 12 Manchester United players potentially in action, as 12 of them have been called-up for national team duty.

England: Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire

England should not have a tough job in these June matches. They will start their qualifying window against Malta away on Friday 16 June, after which they will play North Macedonia at home, with six points looking very realistic for Gareth Southgate’s side.

Portugal: Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot

Portugal got probably the easiest possible group for themselves in the EURO 2024 qualifiers and they will be favourites to do well in upcoming matches too. Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot could first face Bosnia and Herzegovina at home on Saturday 17 June, before traveling to Iceland to play the home team three days later.

Brazil: Casemiro

While European sides will be playing important games, Brazil will have plenty of time to try out new things in friendly matches. On Saturday the 17th, they will play Guinea, before another friendly three days later, against Senegal. Casemiro could get the chance to improve his tally of matches in the national team.

Netherlands: Tyrell Malacia

Tyrell Malacia is ultimately the only Man United player which could actually win a trophy this month, with the Netherlands set to face Croatia in the UEFA Nations League semifinals. They will then play another match in that competition, it just remains to be seen whether that will be in the third-place play-off or the big final. The other two teams left in contention are Spain and Italy.

Argentina: Lisandro Martinez

World champions Argentina will be going to the Far East, first to face Australia in Beijing, before moving to Jakarta to play Indonesia. None of these matches will be particularly important to them, but Lisandro Martinez could get back in action following injury problems.

Sweden: Victor Lindelof and Anthony Elanga

Swedish duo of Victor Lindelof and Anthony Elanga will have a mixture of friendlies and important competitive matches. On Friday the 16th, they will face New Zealand in a friendly match, while four days later they will have a big test against Austria in Vienna in a EURO qualifier.

Uruguay: Facundo Pellistri

Uruguay, as all the other South American nations, will only play friendlies, with their new head coach Marcelo Bielsa. Facundo Pellistri could get his chances in the matches against Nicaragua and Cuba.

Scotland: Scott McTominay

And finally, there is Scott McTominay who should lead Scotland in EURO qualifiers. After two starting wins for the Scots, they will try to keep their run going against Norway and Georgia.
