Manchester United are going to the pre-season tour and things are starting to roll around this team. Erik ten Hag is going to see his players in action in frinedly matches for the first team, but those are not the only news surrounding Man United. In fact, another player has been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Ten Hag Keen On Brian Brobbey
Ever since Erik ten Hag has joined Manchester United as the new permanent solution for the managerial position, the Red Devils have been heavily linked with a number of players from Ajax or who have had their past at Ajax. It all started with Frenkie de Jong, now the likes of Lisandro Martinez and Antony are in such conversation, but that is not where that story ends. Now another player is being mentioned by the media.
According to the Times, Erik ten Hag is keen on bringin Brian Brobbey to Manchester United in order to strengthen his attacking department. Brobbey is a 20-year-old Dutch striker who has played for Ajax and RB Leipzig since appearing on the scene as a very talented goalscorer. He had been brilliant in the youth ranks at Ajax and has already shown potential in Eredivisie. But this move does not really seem so realistic for the Red Devils. Firstly, United are in need of strengthening other areas of the squad and they are keen on doing exactly that. The striking position is necessary to improve, but so far United have not done much job and with Brobbey still being a somewhat inexperienced striker, it does not seem as if United will actually be ready to bet on him. What United now need is someone who is more suited to guarantee a certain number of goals in a team which has lacked them heavily last season.
Ronaldo Not Included In Pre-Season Tour Squad
Manchester United have announced the pre-season tour squad which will travel to Bangkok and Australia to prepare for the upcoming campaign. The big news here are that Cristiano Ronaldo has not been included in the squad and will stay in Portugal as he is trying to force his way out of Man United. There are still no proper opportunities for him to find a club where he will play Champions League football, but Man United will continue their pre-season without him. Erik ten Hag will try out his squad in a series of friendlies, including those against Liverpool and Crystal Palace.
It will be interesting to see United in action, even if just friendly matches, to check out how this team could look under Ten Hag. It is still a long way until this team is finished, but the fans are definitely eager to see what changes the Dutchman will bring.
Two United Players To Leave On Loan
And last but not the least, there are news surrounding Man United players set to leave the club on loan. The two of them are Alvaro Fernandez and Shola Shoretire. Two youngsters are both expected to leave on loan in the coming weeks, in search of playing time.
