In the midst of a summer transfer window, Manchester United are always one of those clubs that get mentioned the most. But unlike some previous years, it seems that this time around there are actually plenty of reasons for that to be the case, as United are eager to make their moves quick and early into the summer, to get rid of potential transfer sagas which were all too usual occurence at Old Trafford. So here are the latest news regarding potential signings and departures.

Man United Have Plan B For Defence

There has been plenty of talk about Manchester United being interested in Napoli defender Kim Min-jae, as the South Korean is seen at Old Trafford as the ideal new signing for the centre-back position, especially now that has become clear the club will do everything they can to get rid of Harry Maguire. But in the meantime, famous French media outlet L’Equipe has reported that Man United also want to sign French centre-back Axel Disasi from AS Monaco. In fact, they even claim the France international is one step away from joining Man United, as the player has also decided to make such a move. But while they report the two clubs have to agree a fee now, Fabrizio Romano’s report shines a different light on this story.

The Italian football transfers expert claims that Disasi is only United’s back-up option. According to Romano, Disasi is a mere plan B in case Kim Min-jae deal falls through and United have to move quickly to make a different signing. Kim is still priority and so far there are no suggestions that such a move could fall through.

Leipzig Want Elanga

But enough about potential signings, there are also stories to talk about in terms of potential departures. According to the well-reputed Florian Plettenburg from Sky Germany, RB Leipzig are interested to sign Man United’s Anthony Elanga. The Red Devils are ready to let the Swede make a move, as he has fallen in the pecking order since the arrival of Erik Ten Hag. It does not seem like he could recover from that and get enough playing time at Old Trafford, which is what RB Leipzig want to get the most out of. Plettenburg believes Elanga could leave United this summer if a club was to submit an offer of 15 to 20 million euros. This potential move has not reached an advanced stage, so it could still be a long way from this deal materialising.

Greenwood Could Go Out On Loan

Ever since serious allegations of rape and physical violence were brought up against Mason Greenwood, the winger has been far from Man United’s first team, but he remained under the contract. But now the latest news from the Daily Mail are that Man United are considering moving out Mason Greenwood on a loan deal. Reportedly, he could go on a season-long loan and the Daily Mail mention three potential destinations for such a move – Italy, Spain and Turkey. However, nothing more concrete has not been mentioned.
