Man United Getting Closer To Signing Bruno Fernandes
Manchester United are with every day getting closer to signing Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon. The Portuguese midfielder has been a wish from people at Old Trafford for a while now and it looks like it is just a matter of time when will Fernandes finally put his pen to paper.
According to Gazetta dello Sport, Manchester United have moved a step closer to signing him, after agreeing a contract worth £100,000 a week. The deal was reportedly struck over a phone call with the player’s agent Miguel Pinho, who had flied to England today according to various other reports, including Gianluca Di Marzio.
It is still unknown what kind of sum Man United will have to pay for Bruno Fernandes, but the fact that a deal with the player was made means that this is 99 per cent certain deal. Sporting manager recently spoke about club being aware they cannot keep Fernandes at the club for another year, especially not after scoring 20 and assisting 13 goals in Portuguese Primeira Liga.
‘Inter Really Want Lukaku’
There are more news about Romelu Lukaku and his potential transfer to Inter Milan. As usual, those news came from the player’s agent, Federico Pastorello. He insists Inter have made their mind on whether they want to sign the Belgian striker.
“If Inter want Lukaku, they will need to get a move on. Inter are seriously trying to sign him, they are all out for him. Goals are not always there to be reached, but it’s a declared target. At the moment, it remains a complicated dream”, Pastorello said.
From this we could learn two things – it is an unmistakable fact that Inter are trying to sign Lukaku, it is not just your usual summer transfer window rumour, and secondly, things are not easy for either side of this potential deal. Inter probably still have problems of finding the necessary money for the player, as Man United do not want to wait two years in order to get the transfer fee. The longer this drags on, the worse it will be for Man United, as the season will be getting closer.
De Gea And Longstaff News
And there are some less flashy news about other players. BBC are reporting that Manchester United have made David de Gea an improved contract offer. According to them, it is understood United’s latest offer would make De Gea the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world and it would probably mean that it is an improved offer from the one we last heard about. Couple days ago it was reported that two sides are still far away from reaching an agreement, but these latest news could mean things are getting closer.
Also, Manchester Evening News reported that the Devils want Sean Longstaff on the preseason tour and the club are expected to accelerate their plans to sign him this week. This means Newcastle are also close to losing another of their players, with Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon already confirmed as departed.
