Man United News: Rashford Scores In England’s 1000th Match And More

Rashford Scores As England Thrash Montenegro

Marcus Rashford scored for England in their second-to-last European qualifier. England confirmed their qualification to EURO 2020 as they are first with 18 points after seven matches. They thrashed Montenegro 7-0 at Wembley in England’s 1000th match.

Rashford scored the fourth goal of the match right on the half hour mark. That was his ninth goal for England, as he equalized Ian Wright’s tally. The 22-year-old now also has eight goals in his last nine appearances, which further highlights that he is in great form, which could be a massive factor in Man United’s performances and results now that the crux of the season is approaching fast.

After tonight’s results, England and Czech Republic both qualified with a game to spare. England have scored 33 goals and conceded six so far, as they had won six and lost one game in Group A. Now they also know they will play all three of their EURO 2020 matches at Wembley, which means they will play their matches on 14th, 19th and 23th of June.

Erling Braut Haaland Links

Manchester United are being linked with Erling Braut Haaland, the 19-year-old Norwegian striker who plays for Red Bull Salzburg. His incredible start of the season  of 26 goals and six assists in just 18 appearances meant that most European clubs would be interested in him, but there is an important caveat about United.

He used to play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde for almost two years, but the point against his arrival would be that his father Alf Inge Haaland played for Manchester City. Whatever you think what might happen, it is hard seeing him join Man United so easily.

His agent is Mino Raiola, but he is also wanted by Juventus, Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid and others. All of that means he is not a cheap option, with Salzburg holding all the cards. Haaland is also known for scoring nine – yes, nine – goals against Honduras in Norway’s 12-0 win at the Under-20 FIFA World Cup earlier this year.

Who Is The Fastest Devil?

Marcus Rashford recorded the fastest spring sped of any Manchester United player this season, according to the club’s official website. He clocked 36.32 kilometers per hour against Crystal Palace, whilst it was also him who had the second best result – 36.15 km/h.

Daniel James has been the second fastest player on the team, with the third best speed of 35.04 km/h. Anyone surprised he is not first?

Pogba And Bailly Nearing Return

Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly are closing in on returns from their injuries. According to ESPN, Pogba could return in time for the Manchester Derby on 7 December, whilst Bailly is targeting the start of light training after the international break.

These are some good news, as Man United will need to have as many players at disposal as possible once December madness starts. Pogba has been missed in midfield, mostly for his creativity, while Bailly could challenge for the starting spot once he gets up to full speed, with Victor Lindelöf struggling at the start of the campaign.
