Blackburn agree loan deal for Mame Biram Diouf – The Guardian
Sir Alex Ferguson has done his old friend Big Sam a favor by sending Mame Biram Diouf to Blackburn Rovers on loan. I think Blackburn is a good move for Diouf. We had too many strikers in the build up to the season with seven, and this will assure Diouf will get more match experience. To be honest, Diouf is the only one of our seven strikers that hasn’t entirely convinced me. I hope he proves me wrong at Ewood Park.
That’s all Wel and good, Alex – The Sun
As Sir Alex tries to cut down on his strikers, with Diouf already sent to Blackburn it seems Danny Welbeck will be the next one to go on loan. Sunderland seems to be the most likely destination with former United player Steve Bruce leading the chase. I’ve already voiced my doubts about sending him to a team with Kenwyne Jones and Darren Bent already in the squad. I’m just hoping he’ll get some adequate Premier League experience. Sir Alex is so confident with his attacking options that he’s happy to send out two of his young strikers.
Hernandez focus of attention – The Daily Telegraph
Chicharito is quite rightly gaining lots of attention ahead of the Community Shield. The young Mexican striker has been on fire this preseason with two goals for United and one goal against his new club in his goodbye to Chivas. Sir Alex has already suggested Rooney and Owen will play some part against Chelsea, but I certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see him on Sunday. Scoring the winner against Chelsea to win the Community Shield would certainly be a nice competitive* introduction.

*Yes, I do consider the Community Shield competitive, especially against our closest Premier League rivals. I want to start this season off with a trophy!
