The Portuguese midfielder was twice named United’s Player of the Month, securing the accolades in both August and April. While this season may not have been Fernandes’ finest at Old Trafford, his contribution remains significant. As United’s joint-top Premier League scorer, he will have one more opportunity to end the season on a high as he leads his team in the FA Cup final against Manchester City. With 15 goals across all competitions, Fernandes trails only Rasmus Højlund, who has 16, and he will be aiming to add to his tally on Saturday. After the final, Fernandes will shift his focus to representing Portugal at Euro 2024 this summer.
