Juventus Make Contact Over Sancho
Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United remains uncertain as Juventus have reportedly initiated contact regarding a potential move for the England international. Since being sidelined from first-team duties after a public spat with Erik ten Hag, Sancho has been linked with several clubs, with Juventus emerging as the latest suitor. Sancho’s refusal to apologise for his remarks on social media has left him isolated from the squad, and speculation about his next destination has intensified. According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Juventus have expressed interest and are in discussions with United about a possible transfer for the winger.
A move away from Old Trafford seems necessary for Sancho to reignite his career, and Juventus could offer him the platform to return to regular football. While the interest from the Turin-based club is reportedly focused on a loan deal, United would likely prefer a permanent transfer to offload him completely. However, securing such a deal in the upcoming January transfer window could prove difficult. Sancho’s talent is unquestionable, but finding a club willing to take a gamble on him, especially one of Juventus’ stature, might be challenging for United.
Varane Considers Manchester United Exit
Raphaël Varane may be preparing to leave Manchester United in January after reportedly growing frustrated with Erik ten Hag. The French centre-back has encountered difficulties with the manager, including losing his place in the starting line-up, even when fully fit. United have been plagued by defensive injuries this season, but Ten Hag has opted to start veteran Jonny Evans over Varane in recent matches, citing “tactical reasons.” According to Team Talk, Varane is unhappy with this decision and is now contemplating an exit as early as the January transfer window.
Varane’s injury record has been a major concern since his arrival at Old Trafford. Although the World Cup winner has shown his quality when available, his frequent stints in the treatment room have left United unable to rely on him for an extended period. Evans, despite his age, has provided a more consistent presence in the squad, further complicating Varane’s situation.
The 30-year-old defender, who earns a reported £17 million per year, might find it challenging to secure the same salary elsewhere unless he considers a move to the Saudi Pro League. Bayern Munich have also been linked with Varane, but given his injury history, the German champions may hesitate before making an offer. Meanwhile, Manchester United have been monitoring OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo as a potential replacement. Although losing Varane’s experience would be a blow, Todibo represents a younger, long-term option for both United and France. The decision on Varane’s future could have significant implications for United’s defensive structure, especially with their ongoing injury struggles.
