Manchester United have just finished one of their worst campaigns in the last 30 years and the changes are much needed at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag has already come in to replace Ralf Rangnick, who was expected to stay at the club in the advisory role. However, yesterday came out the news that the German has decided to step aside from that role, most probably due to the fact he is now the national team of Austria. However, more reasons could have been there, considering Rangnick and Ten Hag could have quite different views on important issues around the team. Whatever might be the case, the fact is that United have already lost a lot of time, almost the entire past season, on a project that never really was a long-term project. Now it is time to make some moves early into the summer, in order for Ten Hag to have an improved squad once the team starts the pre-season.

At this early stage, which is a whole month ahead of the official start of the transfer window, there are a lot of news surrounding Manchester United and their potential moves this summer. Here is everything you need to know about the latest news about the club.

Roma Want Wan-Bissaka

Gazzetta dello Sport have come out with some interesting news from Italy. Reportedly, Manchester United could be selling Aaron Wan-Bissaka, as Italians claim AS Roma general manager Tiago Pinto is interested in the English right-back. There is a talk of a request of around 30 million euros for the player, which is an interesting prospect for the Devils. It was not mentioned how would Jose Mourinho, Roma head coach, feel about this transfer move, but for United, this could be an intriguing proposition. Wan-Bissaka had fallen in the pecking order under Rangnick and, knowing Ten Hag’s style and system he will insist on, it is hard seeing the Englishman getting ahead of the likes of Diogo Dalot. Thus selling him might be something United could consider. Still, it feels like this is just the early summer talk. Let’s see how serious Roma really are.

Ajax Put A Price Tag On Timber

Manchester United were already linked to a move for Jurrien Timber, the young Ajax centre-back Erik ten Hag would reportedly love to see join him at Old Trafford, after they already had a good relationship in Amsterdam. But now Fabrizio Romano is claiming that Ajax have somewhat decided on the price tag for the Dutchman. Romano says Ajax may not accept less than 45 to 50 million euros for Timber this summer. That might seem like a lot, but this move makes sense from the Ajax standpoint. They know Man United have such money if they are really eager to sign Timber. On the other hand, Ajax will lose some important players this summer, with Gravenberch expected to go to Bayern Munich and Sebastian Haller also being linked with a few clubs. With Ten Hag really eager to sign his former player, Man United might make some more concrete moves soon.
