Man United News: Ben Yedder And Ndombele Questions, Contract Renewals

Could Man United Make A Late Move For Tanguy Ndombele?

Big news are coming out of France! Tanguy Ndombele was basically seen as the new Tottenham Hotspur midfielder in a deal worth 63 million pounds, but now L’Equipe and GFFN claim that Manchester United could enter the conversation at the last minute. Reports are saying that Devils could make a surprise move for the French midfielder, who is yet to agree personal terms with Spurs.

Tottenham and Lyon have made an agreement about the transfer, but the window for this move to happen is still open, however near closing it is. Ndombele and Spurs are yet to conclude the deal and that might give enough time for Devils. Still, Paul Pogba’s unresolved future is making hard things even harder. Man United are reportedly blocked to make any real offer due to not knowing what will happen with Pogba.

With Mauricio Pochettino really wanting to sign the player, it seems unrealistic for Man United to swoop in here, as Ndombele is probably aware the Argentine manager holds him in high regard. Being a Champions League finalist obviously helps too.

Is Ben Yedder Actually Joining Man United?

But there are some other, maybe more positive news, depending on what is your opinion of Wissam Ben Yedder. Sevila striker is close to joining Manchester United, according to La Colina de Nervion and Sport Witness. Whilst not the most reliable sources, they claim Man United have everything agreed with the player. They say that with almost total security, his destination will be England and “it is near certain he will join Manchester United if Romelu Lukaku leaves”.

Sporting Manager On Bruno Fernandes

Until we see what will happen with Ben Yedder situation, an interesting quote appeared in Portuguese media. Sporting manager Marcel Keizer spoke about team’s best player Bruno Fernandes.

“I want Bruno Fernandes to stay, but everyone knows the current situation. It’s going to be difficult to keep him going, he’s on vacation, we’ll see what happens”, Keizer said. Fernandes has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United and reports say Devils are close to signing him. Obviously, Keizer is aware Sporting will not keep the player after an incredible season, it just remains to be seen what will be his next destination.

De Gea And Lingard Expected For New Contracts

There are also the latest bits of information about David De Gea and Jesse Lingard. Standard claim that the talks with De Gea are are progressing and Man United are hopeful he will renew after offering him £350,000 per week. On the other hand, Lingard has been reportedly “pencilled in” for the next round of contract renewals. Formal talks have not started yet between him and the club, but ESPN claim that will happen soon.

Previously it was reported Marcus Rashford is close to signing a deal worth quarter of a million pounds per week on a five-year contract and it looks like Man United want to renew even more contracts. De Gea’s new contract makes sense, although his salary will be by far the biggest among goalkeepers.
