Five Potential Signings Solskjaer Should Look At For The Summer Transfer Window

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to become the new Manchester United manager this summer, when he signs a new deal after a successful caretaking role. That is a good reason for us to take a look at some of the young players from European leagues to sign this summer.

You will notice we did not include any centre-backs in here, as we wanted to have a look at some other positions this time.

Jadon Sancho

Okay, we all know this would be the toughest to get of them all. But why not? Sancho had great fun in Germany and now he could get a big chance in England. Man United would definitely to pay a hefty sum in order to make Borussia Dortmund let him go, but Sancho is an 18-year old with bags of potential and even now he is performing to a very high level. Ticks all the checkboxes.

Tanguy Ndombele

Have you watched Barcelona’s games against Lyon in the round of 16 of the Champions League? No? Then take a closer look and just look at him. Because even though in the end it was all perfect for Barca, Tanguy Ndombele showed once more why Man City are paying close attention to him. A central midfielder that could complement Pogba well, while also being a young player who can improve massively.

Donny van de Beek

Yes, Dusan Tadic was magnificent against Real Madrid, we loved that. And yes, Frenkie De Jong is going to Barca and Matthijs De Ligt will be on radar of many other clubs, but why not take a look at Donny van de Beek? The 21-year old attacking midfielder is all that Solskjaer likes – he is a hard worker, high presser of the ball with great technical abilities and can be incredible useful both with and without the ball. The only problem would be that Pogba plays in that position these days…

Sebastian Haller

One of the most underrated, if not the most underrated young player in Europe. Many others get plenty of love, deservedly so, but Sebastian Haller should get more love. Eintracht Frankfurt’s 24-year old French striker has been truly incredible this season. He does it all. He has 14 goals and nine assists in Bundesliga and five goals and three assists in Europa League this season!

Haller shoots, scores, creates, assists, dribbles and presses high. You could not ask for more than that and he is also used to playing in a forward duo with an attacking midfielder behind, somethin Solskjaer used often in recent matches.

Adrien Rabiot

And another Frenchman! Yes, we know there is too many of them here, but hear us out. Adrien Rabiot is leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer as a free agent. Barcelona were reportedly interested in him, but they have cooled their interest down after signing Frenkie De Jong. There were problems between Rabiot and PSG this year, he has not been the most disciplined player, but that could change with Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial around him, keeping him grounded. He is very talented central midfielder, is just 23 years old and would come as a free signing.
