Four Transfers Manchester United Will Not Make This Summer

Manchester United are always targeted from media when the transfer rumours talks start to swarm. Dozens of players get mentioned with a possible move to Old Trafford and everyone starts paying attention. That is why we are looking at four players that have been linked with the Devils in previous months, but are not really a great possibility.

Some reasons for that might be the tough task of getting the player out of his current club, but also because there is no real need for United to get a player in that position. Here are our picks.

Alisson, AS Roma

Okay, you already see the implications here. The Italian media outlet Calciomercato has been talking about Manchester United keeping an eye on Roma’s goalkeeper, Alisson. The Brazilian plays the season of his life and will be Brazil’s first choice in goal at the World Cup. His performances have caught the eye of many big European sides, which did not happen for no reason.

However, he is a goalkeeper. And Manchester United have in their ranks one of the best in the world. David De Gea has been the best Man United player of the season and his incredible, world class performances are the reason why United are so comfortable in second. Yes, Man United would be a doing a great thing to chase Alisson if they did not have De Gea. Therefore, the verdict is – not happening.

Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich

Robert Lewandowski has been one of the best number 9s in the world for many years. Ever since that season for Borussia Dortmund when BVB reached the Champions League final, the Polish striker has been immense. Once again, he managed to score at least 30 goals in Bundesliga and his qualities are well known.

Sure, Lewandowski has been playing poorly in the key matches of the season, mostly in Champions League knockout stages, which we had seen against Real Madrid, but he is still a player everyone would like to see on their side. Yet, that is not happening with Man United. The Devils have spent big on Romelu Lukaku and whatever people think about the Belgian, he is the future of United’s forward line.

Hector Bellerin, Arsenal

The media are really having a go at every player, aren’t they? Hector Bellerin at Manchester United next season? Well, if that would be the club’s thinking, then Antonio Valencia should not worry for his starting spot. However, there is no real evidence that there is a possibility of this transfer actually happening.

Bellerin had a horrific season at Arsenal and he is far from his displays of two or three years ago. Manchester United will, though, be looking  at a right-back this summer, but he will not be coming from the Emirates.

Sami Khedira, Juventus

We wrote about Sami Khedira recently. We were making an argument about why the German midfielder would be a poor choice from Manchester United this summer. This time, we are saying Man United will not buy the Juventus player this summer. While the club is being heavily linked with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Fred, both of them would fit this team better and for a longer haul.
