Manchester United host Sevilla in the second leg of their last-16 Champions League tie aiming to progress to the quarter-finals for the first time since 2014.

United secured a 0-0 draw away from home and they are strongly fancied to finish the job off at Old Trafford.

Manager Jose Mourinho kept things tight in Spain and although David De Gea had to make one spectacular save to keep out a Luis Muriel header the Premier League side deserved their draw.

United are priced at 7/10 to win the game with 888sport, with Sevilla on offer at 4/1. The draw is available at 14/5.

The Red Devils will need to show more attacking ambition in the second leg, although there were signs in the first meeting that they have the firepower to trouble the La Liga outfit.

Romelu Lukaku had a goal disallowed late in the game for handball and he will be prominent in the betting to get on the scoresheet in the reverse fixture. The introduction of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial off the bench also highlighted United’s strength in depth and it could be a difficult night for the Spanish side.

United won all three home games in the group stage by an aggregate score of 7-1 and they were unbeaten at Old Trafford during last season’s successful Europa League campaign. They are priced at 25/1 to win the Champions League and that looks tempting given Mourinho’s ability to make his teams difficult to break down.

United’s record of just 13 victories in 51 previous meetings with Spanish clubs is a slight cause for concern and Sevilla will believe they can cause an upset despite drawing the first leg.

Sevilla had 25 attempts on goal during that game, but a combination of United’s defence and De Gea’s brilliance kept them at bay.

The Spaniards will certainly take heart from a 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield in the group stage, but their away form in La Liga this term hasn’t been great. They were beaten 2-0 at Leicester City in last season’s competition and United can be backed at 13/2 to match that scoreline at Old Trafford.

With Manchester City looking nailed on to win the Premier League, Mourinho will be keen to make a statement by securing his third Champions League success.

United are priced at 15/8 to win to nil and that looks a solid wager.
