David May (superstar) moved to United in 1994 for a then handsome price of £1.2m. After a difficult start to his career at Old Trafford and the emergence of Gary Neville at right back, May settled and came into his own in the 95/96 season while his form in the 1996/97 title winning campaign elevated him to the status of one of the best centre halves in the league.
David stayed at Old Trafford until 2003, but remains popular with supporters. In recognition of this, he has launched “United Nights”, a regular occurring event where David and select other figures from United’s past meet supporters, giving fans a chance to take pictures and autographs but best of all just chat and spend time with heroes we used to support from the terraces.
