Manchester United Offered Moise Kean but Deal Faces Obstacles
Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Moise Kean from Fiorentina, but complications remain before any move can materialise. The Italian international enjoyed an outstanding season, scoring 25 goals across all competitions, which has attracted interest from several top clubs. According to TBR Football, United are monitoring the 24-year-old closely, but any progress on a transfer will depend on outgoings. The club must offload players such as Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho before they can make a formal move for Kean. At present, United are prioritising a deal for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. Reinforcements in attack are a clear necessity, with Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee failing to meet expectations last season. Mbeumo appears to be the primary target, but Kean remains under consideration should circumstances shift.
Kean has the tools to succeed in English football. Although his previous stint in the Premier League with Everton was underwhelming, he is now a more developed and consistent goalscorer. Known for his strength, technique and mobility, he could see a move to Old Trafford as an opportunity to settle unfinished business in England. The striker is understood to have a £45 million release clause, set to expire on 15 July. It is currently unclear whether United will be in a position to activate it before the deadline. Ederson Move on Hold as United Focus Elsewhere
Manchester United’s interest in Atalanta midfielder Ederson appears to be on hold, as the club shifts its focus towards other targets during the current window. The 26-year-old Brazilian has emerged as one of Serie A’s top-performing midfielders, catching the eye with his combination of athleticism, composure and positional intelligence. According to Fabrizio Romano, Ederson is admired at Old Trafford, but his price tag has made the situation complicated. Romano stated that while Ederson is “appreciated,” the move is currently unlikely due to financial constraints, and that United are concentrating on securing Mbeumo’s signature. A move for the Atalanta man may be revisited later in the window, depending on how other negotiations progress.
