Cristiano Ronaldo could make Manchester United return

Cristiano Ronaldo

Former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he could return to Old Trafford one day after leaving the club last summer for Real Madrid. Ronaldo, who was the 2008 World Player of the Year, spent six seasons at Old Trafford, winning the Premier League three times as well as the Champions League in 2008. The Portuguese star has scored eleven goals in thirteen games so far in La Liga – even though he has missed a couple of months with an injury.

Ronaldo was speaking to a Sunday newspaper and revealed:

“Of course I miss playing for Manchester United. I played there for six years and that’s a long time. I am still interested in watching Manchester United and, you never know, maybe in the future I could return to play there. It’s always possible. I am really happy at Madrid, and everyone knows this is my club, but of course I miss Manchester United, the boss, the players because I left family there.”

Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 over a six year period for United and was pivotal in the club’s three Premier League title wins in 2007, 2008 and 2009. His 42 goals in 2007/08 was an exceptional feat and his goal in the Moscow final helped United to a third European Cup success. Many Reds were in awe of his exceptional ability but were frustrated by his constant play acting and his obvious desire to play for Real Madrid, whilst still at the club.

  1. I liked to see Ronaldo, as some kind of a king who never conquered, but thats history.

I dont understand this. Would we want him ?

You are either done, moved, and over. Or you dont know what you are doing.

I thought he was grown up…

  2. Ronaldo is an exceptional player but he left manu, we wanted him to stay but he didnt! so i dont think manu should allow someone to play for the club whose heart doesnt belong with the club! we are better off him!!!

  3. Enough of cheater in BPL (i.e. Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney). The biggest cunt of all is this GayBoy called Cristiano Ronaldo.Thank god he has left.

  4. Good article but I don’t understand some of the (shall we say not WUM comments- you know who you are) ‘we don’t need him etc’. At the moment we are doing well and fine (though make no mistake fergie never wanted to sell him and if he wanted to stay, he would still be here). But Ronaldo isn’t talking about at the moment. He isn’t talking about coming back tomorrow. He is talking about after his contract finishes in 2015. Because Perez has never sold a gallactico but never renewed their contracts either. By that point, and with the situation the club is heading in in terms of finance and debts, ronaldo for free (even at 30) could prove to be a shrewd signing. But I don’t think it will happen as most of his mates including SAF will have moved on.

  5. OMG……..how wonderful it will be ronaldo coming back at OT…………….definetly he will come back if real madrid lose a match or two with Manchester United……………………n that too in Madrid…..
