Two Premier League Clubs Eyeing Wan-Bissaka

Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be on his way out of Manchester United this summer, with reports suggesting two Premier League clubs are keen on securing his services. According to the Manchester Evening News, both Crystal Palace and West Ham have expressed interest in the 26-year-old right-back, making approaches to United regarding a potential transfer. Despite performing admirably in recent matches, Wan-Bissaka has found himself playing second fiddle to Diogo Dalot in Erik ten Hag’s preferred line-up this season. However, it remains unclear who will be United’s long-term choice for the right-back position, as there are still doubts over both players.

Given this uncertainty, there’s an argument to be made for cashing in on Wan-Bissaka during the summer window. Although he impressed while playing out of position against Spurs, there is a sense that United should still be in the market for a top-class right-back. One point to consider is that while Dalot was handed a new five-year contract in May, Wan-Bissaka only received a one-year extension. This move, as reported by the MEN, was likely a strategic decision to preserve the defender’s resale value.

Top European Striker Sesko Could Cost €50m

Manchester United have long held an interest in RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who may be available for a sizeable fee this summer. While United are expected to be in the market for attacking reinforcements, no permanent transfers are anticipated during the current window. However, German journalist Florian Plettenberg recently revealed that Sesko has a release clause in his contract, which would allow him to leave in the summer for around €50 million. The highly sought-after 20-year-old forward has also been linked with other Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Chelsea, both of whom are reportedly keen on the Slovenian international.

Sesko, who has netted seven goals across all competitions this season, is regarded as one of Europe’s brightest young attacking talents. With the right development, he could become a prolific goalscorer in the Premier League. However, Manchester United already have their own exciting prospect in Rasmus Højlund, which may factor into their decision-making when it comes to pursuing Sesko. That said, Arsenal and Chelsea also face their own issues with attacking depth. Chelsea’s struggles to address their goalscoring problems continue, as Nicolas Jackson has not lived up to expectations. Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus, meanwhile, has only managed to find the net three times this season. Whether Sesko remains at RB Leipzig or moves to the Premier League this summer will be a situation to watch closely.
