With the campaign now officially over for Manchester United, the transfer talk is back to getting the most attention and the Red Devils have been linked with many new potential signings. Here is what you need to know.

United Want Kim Min-Jae

Man United’s first season under Ten Hag has been a good one, but the Devils are looking into further improving their defensive options. With the likes of Harry Maguire set to leave the club, the Dutch manager wants to improve his depth and for that he wants to sign Kim Min-jae from Napoli. The South Korean centre-back has reportedly been on United’s radar for a while, but now there are reports United have already offered Napoli defneder a contract worth 7 million euros per season. Daniele Longo claims he is close to saying ‘yes’ to United, who also have to agree a fee with Napoli. His reported buyout clause is in the region of 50 to 60 million euros, which United are getting closer to activating.

Lisandro To Get A New Deal

If United are to sign Kim from Napoli, it would remain to be seen how big of an upgrade he would be, but Lisandro Martinez is already one of the defenders United got it right with, when the Argentine joined from Ajax last summer. His first season has been so good for the Devils that the club are getting closer to opening talks with the defender over an improved deal. United will go on a tour of the United States in July and according to Simon Jones and the Daily Mail, it is there that United will be expected to open the talks over an improved contract.

Spurs Adamant Kane Cannot Leave

One of the players on Man United’s wishlist, and for a while so, has been Harry Kane. England’s best ever goalscorer and Tottenham Hotspur striker is one of the players we have always reiterated as crucial for United to target this summer, as Kane is 30 and now could be the perfect time to snatch him away from the London club. But now the reports from the Daily Mail suggest United might not sign him this summer either. According to them, Spurs have made it clear to United that Kane is not for sale, despite the fact that his contract is set to expire in June 2024 and he might leave the club on a free transfer. If that happens, United will be up there in the race to sign him then, but it would have been an ideal time for the deal to happen this summer.

Man United In Pursuit Of Mount

Man United are reportedly not only in race to sign Kane and Kim, but are also interested in getting Mason Mount and Declan Rice. While West Ham are set to put a really high asking price on their defensive midfielder, possibly even in the region of around 100 million euros, it is the move for the dynamic Chelsea attacker that could be easier to achieve. Simon Jones claims United want both of those players, but that the finances for Rice could complicate everything. Mount, on the other hand, could be a really good domestic option to increase options in attack and is the player with qualities to Ten Hag’s liking. Now just remains to be seen how much will Chelsea ask for and how far are United ready to go in order to acquire Mount.
