Stretford-End.com would like to wish Sir Bobby Charlton a happy birthday. The Manchester United legend turned 73 today. Charlton is second only to Ryan Giggs in terms of appearances for the club and is considered one of the most iconic players to ever wear the United shirt. Having survived the Munich Air Disaster only ten years prior, Charlton was a member of the 1968 European Cup winning side. He was appointed to the Manchester United board of directors in 1984 and has remains in that position to this day. We would like to thank Charlton for his dedication to the club along with wishing him a happy birthday!
