Berbatov to give Fergie headache

Fergie with Berbatov

The purchase of Dimitar Berbatov has given the Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, a dilemma in who to play up front this season.

Like in 1999, when United won the treble, Ferguson had a vast selection of quality to play up top in Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke were the preferred pairing up front, however both Sheringham and Solskjær proved to be equally important, and highlight how important it is to have a big squad who are hungry for first team football, by scoring the two goals in the European Cup final that helped United beat Bayern Munich.

Sir Alex Ferguson will be hoping for a similar result this term as he tries to establish who he should pick as his starting forwards from Berbatov, Rooney, Tevez and Manucho. Stretford-end.com is delighted at the signing of Berbatov and believe he will be a superb edition to an already worldclass side, however concerns were raised regarding the balance and selection of the side with the inclusion of the Bulgarian.
