Sir Alex stays positive despite dropped points

Sir Alex Ferguson remains upbeat and confident that his Manchester United side will catch Chelsea and Liverpool, despite dropping two points against Aston Villa on Saturday.
United, who trail league leader Chelsea by eight points, will have been disappointed that they couldn't have capitalised on the two draws picked up earlier in the day by Liverpool and Chelsea. Ferguson was quoted as saying "We are capable of going on runs as everyone knows. If we got to within two points or three points by New Year’s Day it would give us a great chance."
Fergie will be hoping that United can get back to winning ways against Villarreal on Tuesday and Manchester City on Sunday. United last beat Manchester City 1-0 in at the end of the 2006/07 season - a result that eventually won United the title. Ironically Chelsea drew with Arsenal that weekend and both London sides clash after Manchester derby - with United fans hoping Arsenal can get something out of the game.
