Berbatov quashes Eric comparisons
Manchester United front man, Dimitar Berbatov, has quashed the suggestion that he is similar to United icon - Eric Cantona.
Berbatov has also recently received criticism from Bulgarian World Cup hero, Yordan Lechkov, for criticising players for not supporting him in attack. The players in question had recently suggested that Berbatov didn't offer enough movement up top. Lechkov scored a famous header against Germany in 1994 to send Bulgaria through to the semi-final of the World Cup for the first time.
Lechkov was quoted as saying "Berbatov has to learn to take criticism." The Bulgarian national team has been under fire since the 0-0 game against Georgia where a number of players had been player poker into the early hours.
With regards to the Eric comparisons, Berbatov was quoted as saying "I am just my self. I don't want to be compared with anybody else - especially a legend like Cantona. If you ask some of the guys here, I am the quiet one. I don't talk much. I prefer to listen and watch. I've been like that all my life."
