So who was talking about Ronaldo today then?

Ronaldo

Stretford-end.com thought it would be a good idea to document who said what about Cristiano "God will decide what will happen" Ronaldo.

Firstly, former "special one" and Premier League runner up in 2007 Jose Mourinho stated that 'Ronaldo was a player that you simply could not get'. The former Chelsea boss and current Internazionale manager said that 'he never even looked into signing the player'.

A couple of hours later Real Madrid captain and icon, Raul, responded to the criticism of Ronaldo from fellow team mate Wesley Sneijder by saying that 'he would not cause any trouble if he came to Madrid'. Raul told a Spanish newspaper: "I see no reason why he would cause problems. I think it could be very positive because we have a great squad, with a lot of big players and it is obvious that if a player of a very high level joined he would be welcome and helped to adapt." The captain also went onto defend Robino, the man who is reported to be part of the Ronaldo transfer.

Guti, the vice Captain of Real Madrid, went one better and stated that both Ronaldo and former Madrista, Samuel Etoo, would be welcome at Madrid. Forgetting the Barcelona star, Guti said of Ronaldo ""Real Madrid need good players and Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player you can bring in right now."
