Anderson to miss the start of the season

Old Trafford favourite, Anderson, will miss the start of the Premier League season due to being called up to Brazil's Olympic squad for the tournament in China.
The midfield ace has been named in Brazil's 18-man Olympic squad and will be heading out to Beijing, for the start of the tournament on August 8th.
Anderson and his Brazilian team mates are in Group C along with hosts China, Belgium and New Zealand and play their first match against Belgium. Both Brazil and South American rivals Argentina take the competition very seriously and it would be optimistic to think that Anderson would reconsider the decision to play.
His call up means that Anderson will miss United's summer pre-season preparations and will be unavailable for selection at the start of the new season.
