Fergie shocked but not worried about Kaka bid

Kaka

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that he is shocked by the amount of money involved in the Kaka transfer deal, however isn't fazed with the prospect of the Brazilian signing for United's rivals.

Kaka has been the subject of a reported £108 Million bid from Manchester City. It has also been reported that AC Milan are keen to offload their Brazilian superstar for what would break the current world transfer record fee by £61 Million, which was set by Real Madrid when they bought Zidane from Juventus in 2001.

Fergie was reported to have said "I find it hard to get my head round. Not so much who is buying and selling which player but the size of the fee. It is amazing. From time to time, you get shocks and surprises. This is surprising everyone. But that's football. Sometimes you get shocks and surprises in our game that affect everyone"

The United manager was then quick to add he doesn't believe Manchester City pose a genuine threat to his United side: "I’m not being disrespectful to City because they’re not where Liverpool are or where Chelsea are. We’ve got to look at the teams around us and I made that point before the derby game. You can only worry about the ones that are taking money out of your pocket or taking a trophy off you."
