Rio out injured
Rio Ferdinand will be out injured for ten days following an injury he picked up during the warm up for the Stoke City match on Boxing Day.
Ferdinand has made 24 appearances for United this season and will be a massive loss to the squad having captained United to the World Club Championship last weekend. Ferdinand was in the stands as United beat Stoke City 1-0 after a late goal from Carlos Tevez.
Ferdinand has had a magnificent 2008 - with many United fans and pundits claiming the Londoner is the best defender in the World. Evans will most likely replace the England man - who himself has been in fine form whenever he is called into first team action.
