The Old Trafford Atmosphere needs you
The Stretford End Flags group (SEF) was set up at the beginning of last season to replace and provide new banners for the Stretford End. SEF made several new banners including the George Best tribute banner. SEF are looking to expand their activities this season, to cover all parts of Old Trafford and increase the atmosphere and colour in the whole of the ground. One of the things SEF are looking for is to make a large over the head Super Flag, to be designed by YOU the supporters. These flags cost in the region of £4,000. SEF currently have £2,000 raised towards this flag and hope to have it in place, should the team reach the knockout stages of the Champions league in late Feb.
SEF are further promoting the EURO FLAG NIGHTS - Stretford End Flags are encouraging YOU to make the game a European night to remember, raise your voices and add to the colour and atmosphere by bringing along your own flags and banners. The Stretford End banners will be in their usual Stretford End postion along the front of tier 2, however supporters flags can be placed along the front of all of the other tiers of the stadium, as well as on the green mesh on the front 2 rows of the lower tiers. Flags on sticks are also allowed into the stadium and are readilly available from the stalls around Old Tafford. Supporters are encouraged to get behind the team and make it a European Night to remember.
SEF relies on donations from YOU the supporters and receives no money from MUFC or any sponsors. The Stretford End banners cost £400 each.
