About

July 31, 2006

Two lads came to the conclusion that there needed to be a central place where fellow reds could discuss the latest news surround Manchester United, put their idea’s across and write articles, and the stretford-end.com was born! Below are two brief descriptions of how the creators came around to support United. You can e-mail us at info@stretford-end.com if you would like to ask us any questions!

We decided to create this forum because we believe the overwhelming majority of football sites let alone Manchester united forums do not really cater for adult posters who want to debate and read thoughtful opinions.

Our aim is to create the best United forum on the web with hopefully some of the most knowledgeable and thoughtful posters. This forum therefore may not be to your tastes but as I’m sure you will know there are numerous other Manchester United sites available.

We hope if you do decide to stay you have fun and enjoy your time with us and hopefully you will learn something and educate others along the way.

I’ve a very small family and my Dad doesn’t support anyone so it was my decision alone to support United. I’ve been following United since I was eight, which is around 1990. I did used to get a lot of stick being from down south and supporting a Northern side, but that never bothered me. Manchester United are a special club with a rich a history that has brought many excellent players to this country. My favourite all time player is Eric Cantona, the man had arrogance, skill, flair and was a big game player (despite what some people say about him in Europe!). I get to Old Trafford when I can, however I have my own football on Saturdays. I hope that you enjoy this site and please feel free to drop us a line.
