Six Players Manchester United Could Sign As A Bargain

Manchester United are not in a great position right now. Their business in the summer transfer window was good with the players that have been signed, but those who were sold left a big hole in this squad. That is why today we are looking at some of the players Manchester United could sign in 2020 for a bargain price.

Here are the six players whose contracts expire in June 2020. The Devils could sign them all on a free transfer if the players accept to run their contracts down or even sign a pre-contract. Also, all of these could be bought in January, as their clubs might want to get at least some transfer fee.

Stefan Savic

He is entering peak years for a centre-back and has been playing for years in Diego Simeone’s Atletico team. That is enough in itself, but the Montenegrin would also bring a good character to the dressing room. He is a hard-worker who is ready to push others forward.

Layvin Kurzawa

The French left-back plays for PSG and he could still well sign a new contract with the club, but Man United could do with a very good player from his position. That would create more pressure on Luke Shaw to fight for his place in the team and United could get a very useful player in this position for a low price.

Christian Eriksen

What new can we say about Christian Eriksen? If United get to sign him in January, that will be amazing, but if they do it in the summer it will still be amazing piece of business. The thing is – why would he join United if Real Madrid are still interested in him? Tottenham Hotspur’s playmaker is, at least according to the media, getting closer and closer to Santiago Bernabeu.

Mario Gotze

We will admit – it is a bit hard imagining Mario Gotze playing in Premier League alone, but also at Man United. But the German who scored the World Cup-winning goal in 2014 is still at Borussia Dortmund, waiting for a new deal. The club from the Westfalen might actually offer it to him, but if there is a possibility, why not have a talk. He plays in Jesse Lingard’s position, after all.

Edinson Cavani

Edinson Cavani has been linked with so many clubs this year. During the summer transfer window, he was rumoured to go to Chine, to Qatar, to Major League Soccer. That last option looked the most realistic, with Inter Miami interested in him. David Beckham’s franchise would do great acquire the Uruguayan star, but why should Man United pass on this opportunity?

Cavani is 32, which is less than Ibrahimovic had when he arrived, he would be a real star on this team and he is a more prolific goalkscorer than Zlatan. A couple of yours would help a team in transition.

Ryan Fraser

Well, it is not like we are going to say he is the one we need from these six players, but signing Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser would prove that the board is serious about signing younger British players…
