Alexis Sanchez To Move To Inter Milan
Alexis Sanchez will be leaving Manchester United very soon, possibly even on Wednesday! According to Fabrizio Romano, member of Di Marzio staff and the expert on Italian transfer market, Sanchez will join Inter Milan on a season-long loan. The Chilean star will be getting his desired move out of Manchester, where he struggled massively, and will be teaming up with Romelu Lukaku once again.
Romano reports that the biggest obstacle in making the deal happen – the salary – is now out of the way. Reportedly, Inter have agreed to pay somewhere around five million euros. Sanchez’s salary is around 12 million euros, which means the rest of it will be paid by Man United. Antonio Conte will therefore get the player he wanted so badly, but the potential full transfer could only happen next summer. There is no obligation clause in the contract, nor an option to buy, which means that if Inter want to get Sanchez, they will have to hold new negotiations with the Devils.
Sanchez’s time at Man United will go down as one of the worst signings in club’s history, considering the money the club have spent on him and the output he gave on the pitch. During his 18 months at the club – there might be more, once he arrives from Inter, we just do not know yet – the 30-year-old played 45 times for Man United and scored mere five goals. Just three league goals since January 2018 is incredibly appalling and most Devils will be happy just to see him go and forget about the whole thing.
Nemanja Matic Wants To Know What His Future Holds
And after Sanchez’s departure, it is not impossible to see Nemanja Matic leave the club as well. The Serbian midfielder could be on his way out too. He has lost his place in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team and Scott McTominay is clearly the first choice for the manager right now. There were reports in English media this week that Matic is considering making a move and that he already spoke with Solskjaer about the future plans. Matic apparently wants to know where he stands right now and if there is a possibility for him to move somewhere where he will be playing regularly.
After two years at the club, it turns out that Matic has not been the player many have expected. His last season was much worse than the first one and now he might leave even before making an appearance in 2019-20 season.
Saha On Bruno Fernandes
For the end, former Man United player Louis Saha spoke about Manchester United not signing Bruno Fernandes this summer. The Frenchman said that he believes Man United have made a mistake for not signing the Portuguese midfielder. Saha said for Portuguese Record that Fernandes is a technically very gifted player and that he is a born leader. He also points out he could have been extremely decisive at various points in Man United’s games and that considering everything we had seen this season, it was a mistake to miss out on the opportunity of signing him.
Only time will tell…
