What About Wan-Bissaka Add-Ons?
Here are some interesting news about Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The player is eager to join Manchester United and is hoping for a successful conclusion to talks. Also, Guardian claim Crystal Palace will have met this afternoon to complete the finer details of the transfer. An improved bid was made over the weekend according to them and Crystal Palace will push for the removal of Wilfried Zaha’s sell-on clause with that deal for the right-back.
But what is more interesting are the information The Guardian have given us. Apparently, when Man United offered £35m +£15m in add-ons and Palace rejected it, they actually had a good reason. Not only did they want more money straight away, but they found some of the add-ons wildly unrealistic. One of them was that Ed Woodward wanted a clause for which United would pay once the Devils win the Champions League?! And the other one would be paid to Palace once Wan-Bissaka makes 25 Champions League appearances. That is, in a competition that he will not participate in for at least one season. Also, it is worth mentioning that in the past five years, United have played only 24 Champions League matches…
After such poor moves from Woodward, it is good to note this deal is not dead yet and it seems like Wan-Bissaka will soon be playing for Manchester United.
Darmian To Finally Move To Juventus?
News are coming out from Italy that Matteo Darmian will finally be joining Juventus, as we have heard that was a possibility numerous times in the past six months. The Italian full-back is expected to be new Juventus player, who will get to work with Maurizio Sarri, as he was described as the solution to the imminent departure of Joao Cancelo.
The Portuguese is expected to join Manchester City, in Pep Guardiola’s quest to make that incredible team even tougher to beat and Juventus, who are spending a lot of money on Matthijs de Ligt, need a cheap solution for that position. Darmian definitely is such a solution.
Who Is Ozan Kabak And Why We Should (Not) Care?
Ozan Kabak is the latest name linked with a move to Manchester United. Most Devils probably have never heard of that name until today. And no wonder if that was the case. Ozan Kabak is Turkish 19-year-old centre-back, who has been now rumoured to be in contention to join the Devils. However, this is probably another case of fake news that you should not be concerned about.
Not that Kabak is a poor player – he did well at Stuttgart, even though they got relegated from Bundesliga, but this seems as another attempt to drive player’s price up. And what better team to do that with than Man United? This club is chaotic and who knows what will Woodward actually do, right?
But Man United were linked with a potential move with ‘West Ham and other clubs’, as it was reported. It cannot get much more vague than that. Also, the sources for this story were Kicker and Sport Witness. The former is basically a German tabloid, while Sport Witness are not really something you could describe as reliable.
