good to see the positives are also being highlighted of Rafael and Evans and not just the nervy moments...i thought at times rafael did very well against Ronaldinho which was surprising considering i thought brown would play at right back! all in all a good result overall despite the second goal conceded!

Liam, the tackle was not intentional. Rooney did not slide in, SIlva slid in Rooney's path and he happened to step on his ankle. Rooney is not THAT malicious a player.
Great game, shoddy defending from both sides and Nani will not be the permanent solution on the wings!

As Valencia was coming on,they showed a replay of Rooney's tackle on Silva, which was a real leg breaker and a straight red,yet no one mentioned it,why?
It was a dreadful display and we got out of jail.We should have three down at the break and will anyone ever score a goal like Scholes ever again and of course if the ref was doing his job properly Rooney should have went.

saw 70% of the game to the end.

Really gripping in its shoddy imperfections - the whole game.

In the end, there were some fine displays of experience / supreme confidence / supreme athleticism, sharp tactical dedication, and above all supremely enjoyable mental slugfest.

The game was so mental, you could feel the nerves...and San Siro's feel has this hollow dizzying feel to it. Its a strange feeling that elevats its games.

Enjoyable 93 mins of football
